International uniform norms form a part of the Czech legal system despite the fact that most of them are of an international origin. The Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is one of the most important and most frequently applied ones. However, attention should be paid to uniform application of these norms. In other words, they should be applied in the same way in all jurisdictions whose part they form. This principle is enshrined in Article 7 of the Vienna Convention. Therefore, it is usually important to assess and ascertain how courts in other jurisdictions decided a given question while applying the same uniform norm.
